Design Story

The composition is built in clear tiers. "UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT" arcs across the top in restrained lettering, the crest anchors the middle, and a ribbon banner reads "UCONN HUSKIES" beneath it. Below that, "EST. 1881" and a small basketball motif sit between filigree scrollwork, closing with a fine banded line and the words "LIMITED EDITION". The husky's expression is steady rather than fierce, calm and watchful, which lets the gold-on-black contrast do the talking. Nothing shouts. Everything is placed.

Use & Experience

On a vertical tumbler silhouette, that tiered layout works in its favor. The crest occupies the front-facing focal panel at eye level, while the lower bands wrap around the taper and give the design a base.
