Design Story

The composition is built as a framed focal panel: a thin gold outline drops a shield shape onto the front of the tumbler, holding the interlocking ND monogram at the top of the visual hierarchy. Beneath it, NOTRE DAME sits in wide-tracked capitals, FIGHTING IRISH follows at a smaller weight, and a small green shamrock closes the column as the only break in the navy-and-gold palette. A slim gold band circles the lower body and repeats along the handle edge, giving the vertical proportion a clean horizon line. Generous negative space above and below the panel keeps the whole thing editorial rather than loud.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette the artwork reads correctly from a distance: the monogram lands at eye level in the widest part of the wrap, while the tapered lower body carries the plain navy as visual rest. The gold accent tracing the handle ties the grip into the graphic instead of leaving it as a separate part, so the piece looks composed from any angle on a desk or a table.
