Design Story

The composition is built on a matte black field, so the crimson Block O reads as the single visual anchor. Its beveled outline catches a cool grey highlight, which lifts the emblem off the surface without adding another colour. Below it, the typography stacks in a disciplined vertical rhythm: OHIO STATE in pale grey, BUCKEYES and 1870 COLLECTION echoing the scarlet, then LIMITED EDITION and FOUNDED 1870 tapering to the smallest weight. Thin rule lines act as breathing room. Tonal contrast, not volume, carries the whole design.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler the front-facing focal panel matters most, and the emblem sits exactly where the eye lands first, with the tapered base left as negative space. The wraparound field stays quiet, so the graphic never fights the handle line. A scarlet inset on the grip closes the palette loop.
