Design Story

The composition is strictly vertical and strictly hierarchical. The interlocking ATM monogram anchors the upper focal panel, rendered as a deep maroon relief against a matte black field, with a fine outline catching just enough light to read as sculpted rather than printed. Beneath it, TEXAS A&M and AGGIES step down in scale, separated by rule lines that act like typographic seams. Lower still, EST. 1894 recedes into near-tonal whisper. Nothing shouts. Black on black with a single maroon accent is a restraint move, and it works because the negative space around the crest is generous.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler, this reads as a wraparound composition with a clearly defined front-facing focal area.
