A cover built from collision: crimson, bone white and gold thrown across a dark field, then disciplined into type. The eye lands first on the single scripted letter, then falls, line by line, down the page.
Design Story
The composition is layered rather than flat. Beneath the lettering sit splattered pigment, torn brush sweeps and slow gold drips that suggest a surface worked over many times. A grey campanile rises on the right as the only vertical calm in the frame, holding the chaos in place. Hand-drawn crowns and the words Roll Tide and Tradition, Discipline, Excellence operate as marginal annotations, small enough to reward a second look. Below, a football's stitching and a faint chalk play diagram return the image to its subject without shouting.
Display & Styling
As a spiral-bound wall calendar, the artwork reads as a framed panel at eye level. The heavy motif sits high and the darker base settles toward the lower edge, so the date grid below gains breathing room instead of competing with it. From across a kitchen, office or dorm wall it holds as colour and shape; up close, the texture and lettering take over.
