The eye lands on the lettering before anything else. Oversized collegiate type, stitched-look navy on cream, spells out the name across the full width of the cover like a banner hung in a field house.

Design Story

Everything around that headline is arranged as a layered scrapbook: a bulldog portrait in the upper corner, jaw set and gaze level, a circular crest with a central G and laurel, a small pennant, ivy leaves creeping in at the edges, a gothic campus tower under moody sky, a half-lit arena floor, and a domed Washington skyline glowing at night. Readable lines — tradition, people, passion — act as quiet captions. The palette holds to deep navy, bone white and aged gold, which keeps a busy collage disciplined. Torn-paper seams separate each vignette so the hierarchy stays clear: name first, mascot second, scenes last.

Display & Styling

On a spiral-bound wall calendar, that hierarchy earns its keep. The lettering reads instantly from across a dorm room or office, while the smaller vignettes reward a closer look during desk-side planning. Hung at eye level, the cover works as wall decor in its own right, and the restrained palette sits calmly above a monthly date grid rather than fighting it.
